The FICCI Ladies Organisation’s (FLO) Ahmedabad chapter has launched an initiative to empower and elevate women entrepreneurs called SARV VIKAAS. The event was attended by fashion expert Pernia Qureshi, founder of Pernia’s Pop-up Shop in India, who styled committee members with outfits and jewellery from Fashion Edit India. SARV VIKAAS is one of the four pillars of FLO Ahmedabad chapter’s SARV vision for 2023-24. It aims to bring about socio-economic development of women, advocate for legal and policy changes, facilitate rural uplift through grassroots initiatives, and provide vocational and educational training. The initiative includes networking and joining forces to champion the cause of women entrepreneurs, which was also attended by successful entrepreneurs Tanvi Godiawala and Purvi Doshi who shared their stories. An MoU was signed between FLO Ahmedabad and the Government of Gujarat’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to facilitate collaborations on initiatives for uplifting women-led businesses in Ahmedabad and Gujarat. FLO provides a help desk to support and facilitate women-led entrepreneurs who want to start their own businesses, aiming to inspire more women to start their own businesses.
