The Qassim Health Cluster has successfully collected 382 units of blood of different blood groups, through its blood donation campaign, “Donating Blood for Pilgrims”. The campaign was held for two weeks at different public and private sector departments in the region to increase the stocks at blood banks in Makkah’s hospitals and medical centers during the Hajj season of 1444 Hijri.
The cluster’s initiative generated a robust response and showcased people’s spirit of compassion, demonstrated through their participation in sizeable numbers. The goal of the campaign was to assist medical centers in both Makkah and Madinah during Ashura and Hajj’s busy season, with sufficient blood and blood products.
