Students of coaching centres in Mukherjee Nagar, New Delhi, staged a protest and blocked the road after a fire broke out in a coaching centre building, injuring several students. The fire-fighting operation in the building concluded on Thursday afternoon, with officials saying that all persons have been rescued and the fire has been controlled. At least four children sustained minor injuries, while 25 to 30 students were injured. The protest saw students raising slogans and holding posters to demand justice for the incident, which led to injuries. Visuals showed students sliding down using a rope with bags on their backs, as smoke billowed out of the top floor of the building. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Police say a few students received injuries as they were escaping from the building where the fire broke out, and no person was trapped inside the building. Efforts are currently being made to determine the seriousness of the injured students.
