Prostitute Serial Killer Indicted in Ohio: Charges Include Multiple Murders

A 33-year-old prostitute in Columbus, Ohio, has been indicted on charges of multiple murders, leading authorities to describe her as a serial killer. Rebecca Auborn allegedly met men for sex, drugged them, and robbed them of their belongings. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost stated that her actions fit the definition of a serial killer due to the series of killings that occurred over a period of time.

According to reports, Auborn has been charged in four fatal overdoses and one non-fatal case that took place between December 22 and July 17. The victims reportedly met Auborn at hotels, where she administered fentanyl, a powerful opioid. Sadly, the men were unaware that they were consuming fentanyl, which led to fatal overdoses.

In the press release issued by Yost’s office, it was revealed that Auborn faces multiple charges, including murder, involuntary manslaughter, aggravated robbery, felonious assault, corrupting another with drugs, tampering with evidence, and trafficking in drugs. The indictment reflects the severity of her alleged crimes.

Law enforcement authorities suspect that there may be additional victims in this case. While investigating the matter, task forces have described Auborn as a sex worker. The Columbus Dispatch report highlighted the concern of Ohio Attorney General Yost that this case may negatively impact the perception of trafficking survivors. Yost emphasized the need to differentiate between individuals who willingly participate in prostitution and those who are forced or manipulated into these activities.

Yost’s office has been actively working to raise awareness about human trafficking and also focuses on arresting individuals seeking to purchase sex in the state. In the press release, Yost issued a warning, urging people not to buy sex in Ohio as it destroys lives and could potentially cost them their own.

Considering the seriousness of the charges against Rebecca Auborn, authorities will continue their investigation to ensure justice is served. The case highlights the need for greater vigilance when it comes to the safety and well-being of individuals involved in the sex trade.
