Prophet’s Mosque Provides 400 Tons of Zamzam Water Daily to Hajj Pilgrims

Saudi Arabia’s General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that preparations are in place to provide high-quality services to pilgrims visiting the Prophet’s Mosque during the upcoming Hajj season, including the transport of Zamzam water from the Holy City of Makkah to Madinah. The administration at the Presidency of the Prophet’s Mosque has shared that as many as 530 employees and supervisors are overseeing the transport of Zamzam water by filling tankers at the Prophet’s Mosque and carrying them to designated areas in the Mosque, including its roof and yards.

According to the administration, up to 400 tons of Zamzam water are supplied daily to the Prophet’s Mosque, distributed in 10,000 containers for worshippers and 5,000 spare containers for backup. Speaking on the facilities, Director of the Suqya Administration, Bakr Hamed Al-Ahmadi, highlighted that there are seven filling stations and three cooling centers for the 80,000 single-use Zamzam water bottles that visitors receive daily.

This initiative ensures that all visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque during the Hajj season have access to high-quality Zamzam water to complete their religious rituals, without any inconvenience. This decision will help to provide comfort to pilgrims who come from different countries to perform Hajj and fulfill their religious obligations.
