A woman has filed a complaint of sexual exploitation at the UP Bhawan in Delhi. She claimed that she was taken to Room No. 122 of the Bhawan for a meeting with two ministers from the state by Rajvardhan Singh Parmar, the national President of the Maharana Pratap Sena. However, Parmar allegedly attempted to assault her sexually, and the incident is currently being probed by the police. The room has been sealed for investigation, and relevant CCTV footage has been obtained. The woman lodged a complaint of sexual assault at the Chanakyapuri police station and forensic teams from UP reached Bhawan to launch an investigation.
The UP Bhawan in Delhi is a state guesthouse where government officials from Uttar Pradesh can stay while visiting the capital. It is unclear how Parmar was able to gain access to a room in the Bhawan without authorisation, as his name did not feature on the list of people authorised to stay there.
Rajvardhan Singh Parmar is the national President of the Maharana Pratap Sena. The Sena is a political organisation that claims to be working for the rights of the Rajput community. Parmar’s alleged involvement in the sexual exploitation case has led to his arrest.
