PRINCESS ASTRID OF BELGIUM EXPLORES TELIX’S ADVANCED RADIOSPHARMACEUTICAL FACILITY IN BRUSSELS SOUTH

Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited welcomed Her Royal Highness, Princess Astrid, Princess of Belgium to its recently inaugurated production facility, Telix Manufacturing Solutions (TMS), in Brussels South. The 2,800 square meter facility, located in Belgium’s ‘Radiopharma Valley,’ is one of the largest radiopharmaceutical production facilities in Europe. It plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for imaging and therapeutic agents across the Europe Middle East and Africa region.

Princess Astrid’s visit to Telix Manufacturing Solutions comes ahead of the Belgian Economic Mission to Australia. The mission, led by HRH Princess Astrid of Belgium, aims to highlight successful collaborations between Belgium and Australia. As part of the mission, Telix will co-host a seminar on innovation in nuclear medicine in Melbourne.

Raphael Ortiz, Telix EMEA CEO, expressed his honor at welcoming Princess Astrid and highlighted the significance of Telix’s investment in innovation at the Brussels South facility. He thanked the Princess for her interest in nuclear medicine and radiopharmaceuticals and looked forward to showcasing the Australian side of the business during the trade mission.

Telix Manufacturing Solutions is set to transform patient care by providing innovative solutions for cancer and rare diseases in Belgium, Europe, and worldwide. The facility will serve as Telix’s primary manufacturing site for radioisotopes and commercial and clinical products.

Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited is a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development and commercialization of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals. With headquarters in Melbourne, Telix operates globally, including in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Telix’s lead product, gallium-68 gozetotide, has received approvals from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration, and Health Canada. The company is also progressing Marketing Authorization Applications for gallium-68 gozetotide in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

The visit by Princess Astrid highlights the innovative partnership between Belgium and Australia, with Telix Manufacturing Solutions serving as a prime example of the collaboration’s potential to transform patient care.
