Police in Prince William County are seeking a man who tried robbing a bank Monday, March 4. The unidentified suspect approached the counter at United Bank on Smoketown Road in Woodbridge. Authorities reported that a firearm was seen in the bag, but the suspect fled on foot without taking any money. No injuries were reported in the incident, and no shots were fired. Despite an extensive search by a police K-9 unit and officers, the suspect remains at large. Described as a black male, approximately 35 to 40 years old, standing at 5’10 and 200 pounds with a beard, he was last seen wearing a grey hat, a blue medical mask, a yellow safety-style vest, a grey North Face zip-up jacket, a black t-shirt, dark-colored pants, and black sneakers. Police are urging anyone with information regarding the attempted bank robbery to come forward.
