Prime Minister Modi has extended a special invitation to fifty nurses and their families to attend his Independence Day address at the Red Fort in New Delhi. This is part of the government’s initiative to invite people from all walks of life to participate in the celebrations, in line with their vision of ‘Jan Bhagidari’ or people’s participation.

Among the fifty nurses invited, three will be from the state of Haryana. Savita Rani, a Nursing Officer at Badshah Khan Civil Hospital in Faridabad, expressed her gratitude and excitement for being a part of this grand occasion. Notably, Rani was previously felicitated by President Droupadi Murmu on Nursing Day for her exceptional work during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort on August 15 will also include special guests from various professions, such as teachers, farmers, fishermen, and Sarpanches (elected village heads) from Vibrant Villages.

The invitation to these individuals reflects the government’s recognition of their contributions to society and aims to strengthen the bond of inclusivity and national unity. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, in its press release, highlighted the significance of enabling people from different backgrounds to join in the celebrations.

The presence of nurses and their families at the Prime Minister’s address emphasizes their crucial role in healthcare, especially during the ongoing pandemic. Their inclusion also demonstrates the government’s appreciation for their dedication and sacrifices in the face of challenging circumstances.

This initiative to invite people from diverse backgrounds to participate in the Independence Day celebrations is a commendable step toward fostering unity and celebrating the spirit of India. It showcases the government’s commitment to Jan Bhagidari and recognizes the efforts of individuals who have served the nation in various capacities.

As the nation eagerly awaits the Prime Minister’s address on Independence Day, the presence of these nurses and their families will undoubtedly add a special touch to the festivities. Their unwavering service to humanity amidst the global health crisis deserves recognition and applause, and this invitation serves as a token of gratitude from the government and the entire nation.

In conclusion, the invitation extended to fifty nurses and their families to attend Prime Minister Modi’s Independence Day address highlights the government’s commitment to inclusivity and recognizes the selfless service of healthcare professionals. Their presence will undoubtedly add a special significance to the celebrations at the Red Fort, as India commemorates its 75th Independence Day.
