New Delhi, India – President Droupadi Murmu awarded Distinguished Service Awards to 84 serving and retired personnel from the armed forces and the Indian Coast Guard on June 27, during a defence investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The awards, which included 52 Ati Vishisht Seva Medals, were bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service to their country. Among those recognized was Lt Gen ADS Aujla, former commander of the Chinar Corps responsible for guarding the Line of Control in the Kashmir Valley, who received the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal.
