Students at Presidency University in Kolkata, India have launched a week-long protest against a draft code of conduct that proposes the need for consent from authorities for on-campus processions. SFI endorsed the week-long protests and called for students who value democratic and liberal values to assemble at the campus’ portico. The SFI Presidency unit spokesperson condemned any blueprint that would compromise democracy on the university grounds or enforce disciplinary surveillance via a code of conduct.
