The Lucknow police are set to apply for the remand of Vijay Yadav, the accused in the courtroom murder of jailed gangster Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva. The police have numerous questions that they want to ask the accused as part of their investigation, including where the pistol came from and who ordered for Sanjeev to be hit. Vijay recently visited Kathmandu where he met with Atif, who reportedly promised him a sum of Rs 20 lakh to eliminate Sanjeev. Police investigations are now focused on finding Atif and determining the identity of others Vijay may have come into contact with in Nepal. To this end, their counterparts in Nepal and IB are being sought out to help with the investigation. Despite the police conducting extensive searches of hotels in the city, Vijay’s whereabouts remain unknown.
