Police Successfully Rescue Kidnapped Victim in Delta State; Suspected Kidnapper Killed

Undeterred, some of the police officers immediately gave chase, resulting in the neutralization of one of the suspects carrying the firearm. Unfortunately, the remaining suspects managed to escape, but not before abandoning the vehicle they were traveling in. Upon closer inspection of the abandoned vehicle, the police discovered a blindfolded kidnapped victim inside.
The victim, who had been kidnapped along Jakpa Road in Warri earlier that same evening at approximately 9:00 p.m., recounted his harrowing ordeal to the police. He revealed that the suspected kidnappers had rammed their tricycle into his vehicle from behind. When he confronted them, they produced the double barrel gun, forcibly took him hostage, and commandeered his own car.
Prior to his rescue, the victim had already been compelled to pay a ransom of N700,000, which he transferred to the kidnappers’ account through a bank transaction. Fortunately, thanks to the swift response and heroic efforts of the police, the victim has been reunited with his family.
