Police personnel in Nagaland have been sensitised on mental health through an awareness programme organised by the Lapiye Centre for Mental Well-Being in partnership with the Chümoukedima police. The programme, which held at the Sovima Police Station, featured speeches from experts on the topic. Resource persons highlighted the difference between normal anxiety and problem anxiety while also discussing causes and symptoms of anxiety and the urgent need to break down barriers with positive mental health practices, self-understanding, and meaningful relationships. The discussion also covered the types of mental illness and the effects of stress and anxiety on the body. The event ended with a vote of thanks and a benediction.
