Madhya Pradesh: Police Parade Four Gang-Rape Accused in Shivpuri
In a shocking incident that occurred on July 20, a 20-year-old newly married woman was gang-raped while waiting for her husband in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh. Reacting promptly, the police arrested four individuals in connection with the crime, and on Saturday, they took the accused on a procession to the hospital for medical examination.
According to the victim’s complaint lodged at the Badarwas police station, she was approached by two men on a motorcycle as she waited for her husband on Ghurwar Road at around 7:30 pm. The unsuspecting woman expressed her desire to go to Akhai River. Seizing the opportunity, the perpetrators offered her a ride but instead took her to a secluded area.
Once they reached an open field about 2 km away from the initial spot, the accused snatched her phone and took turns raping her. The victim narrated the incident to the police, mentioning that two other men on motorcycles arrived later, with one of them acting as a lookout while the other sexually assaulted her.
The woman’s husband accompanied her to file a complaint against the culprits. The police wasted no time and apprehended the four accused, who were seen hiding their faces during the procession.
