Police Detective Convicted of Raping Teenage Girl: Victim Struggles with Loss of Identity
A decorated police detective in South Australia has been found guilty of raping a teenage girl, leaving the victim to grapple with the loss of her former self. Jordan Lloyd Koch, a veteran of the South Australia Police force with 17 years of service and multiple bravery awards, committed the heinous act in 2021. Previously protected by a suppression order, his identity was revealed after the order was lifted on Wednesday.
During the sentencing at the SA District Court, it was revealed that Koch abused his power and privilege to groom and rape the 15-year-old girl, an act described as the highest level of misconduct.
