Investigators discovered that the victim and Sane were actually husband and wife who had a temple wedding ceremony several years prior. Sane’s brothers have declined to comment as they had severed ties with him years ago. On June 3, Sane claims that Vaidya committed suicide, and he tried to dispose of the body to avoid becoming the primary suspect for her death.
