Polestar, the Swedish electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially opened the order books for its highly anticipated Polestar 4 in Europe and Australia. This marks the brand’s fastest production car yet, boasting impressive powertrain options and cutting-edge features.

With production set to begin this summer, the first deliveries of the Polestar 4 are scheduled for August. The starting price for the Long-Range Single-Motor variant in Australia is AU$81,500 (approximately US$53,804). This model is equipped with a 268 horsepower motor that drives the rear wheels, a 100 kWh battery with fast charging capabilities up to 200 kW, and a targeted range of up to 379 miles (610 km) on the WLTP cycle.

For those seeking even more power, the Long-Range Dual-Motor variant is available starting at AU$93,050 (US$61,429). This model offers an impressive 536 horsepower and 506 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 kph) in just 3.8 seconds. It shares the same battery as the single-motor variant and has a slightly lower targeted range of 360 miles (580 km).

The Polestar 4 showcases a range of features designed to enhance both performance and comfort. The dual-motor variant comes equipped with semi-active suspension, offering a smooth and dynamic driving experience. Wheel options range from 20 to 22 inches, fitted with either Pirelli or Michelin tires.

Inside the cabin, the Polestar 4 boasts a 15.4-inch infotainment system with Google built-in features. It also features a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a digital rearview mirror, and a head-up display. The vehicle offers wireless smartphone integration, supports over-the-air updates, and even includes an optional Harman Kardon audio system.

When it comes to safety, the Polestar 4 is well-equipped with a comprehensive bundle of features. This includes a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance with vehicle, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, forward collision warning, and lane departure warning, among others.

Customers have the option to enhance their Polestar 4 experience with additional packages. The Pilot Pack, included as standard, adds Lane Change Assist to the Pilot Assist feature. The Plus Pack, available for AU$8,000 (US$5,281), offers a range of comfort and technology upgrades. The Pro Pack, priced at AU$2,500 (US$1,650), adds 21-inch alloys and various design details. Lastly, the range-topping variant of the series can be upgraded with the Performance Pack, which includes a re-tuned chassis, four-piston Brembo brakes, and distinct gold details for AU$7,200 (US$4,753).
