New Delhi, January 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the starting point of Ram Setu, Arichal Munai in Tamil Nadu, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity. During his visit, PM Modi performed darshan and pooja at Kothandaramaswamy Temple in Dhanushkodi.
The temple is dedicated to Sri Kothandarama Swamy and holds significant historical and religious importance. It is believed to be the place where Vibhishana met Sri Rama and sought his refuge. Some legends also suggest that this is where Sri Rama conducted the coronation of Vibhishana.
Expressing his blessings, PM Modi mentioned on social media, Prayed at the iconic Kothandaramaswamy Temple. Felt extremely blessed. Additionally, via video message, he laid the foundation stone of Shri Khodaldham Trust-Cancer Hospital, appreciating the trust’s dedication to public welfare.
The Shri Khodaldham Trust, initiated by the Leuva Patidar community, has made significant contributions in the fields of education, agriculture, and healthcare. The Cancer Hospital and Research Center being built in Amreli, under the trust, will prove to be an exemplary establishment for service, benefiting a large area of Saurashtra, including Amreli.
PM Modi emphasized that the trust’s dedication and resolve for service, values, and dedication have positively impacted millions of lives over the past 14 years. He applauded their excellent work in various sectors and highlighted the immense benefits the cancer hospital will bring, especially to the people of Saurashtra.
