Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh on Thursday and Friday to launch over Rs 61,000 crore worth of development projects in the two states. In Gujarat, Modi will inaugurate projects exceeding Rs 48,000 crore, while in Uttar Pradesh, he will launch projects worth more than Rs 13,000 crore, focusing primarily on Varanasi and its adjoining areas.
The projects encompass various sectors such as road, rail, energy, health, Internet connectivity, urban development, water supply, and tourism, among others. In Gujarat, the initiatives include the dedication of two new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station and the inauguration of numerous development projects in districts like Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Surat, and more.
In Varanasi, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects to enhance road connectivity, establish a National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), inaugurated an HPCL LPG bottling plant, and various other healthcare and infrastructure initiatives. Modi’s visit underscores the continued focus on transforming these regions and enhancing overall development.
