Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, and deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar are expected to share the stage at an event organized by the Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust on August 1 in Pune. This comes amidst a political crisis in Maharashtra after Ajit Pawar joined the NDA government. The trust has selected PM Modi for the prestigious Tilak National Award, and Sharad Pawar has been invited as the chief guest.
The event will mark the first time that Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar will share the platform since the split within the NCP. Ajit Pawar recently joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government in Maharashtra as the deputy chief minister while his camp of eight MLAs were sworn in as ministers.
In response to PM Modi’s comments about a Rs 70,000 crore scam by the NCP, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray criticized the Prime Minister. Thackeray questioned the whereabouts of the alleged scam and commented on the presence of the NCP on the stage at the event.
The Lokmanya Tilak National Award will be conferred upon PM Modi on August 1, the 103rd death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak. Deepak Tilak, the president of the trust, revealed that the award is in recognition of Modi’s exemplary leadership and his efforts to instill a sense of patriotism among citizens.
Other notable attendees include Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. The event promises to be a prominent gathering of political leaders from different parties, providing an opportunity for interaction and exchange of ideas.
With this event, the organizers aim to honor PM Modi’s contributions and achievements. The Tilak National Award holds significant value in recognizing exceptional leadership qualities and inspiring individuals who have dedicated themselves to the betterment of society.
As politicians from various parties stand together on one stage, it highlights the importance of unity and collaboration in working towards a common goal. It also emphasizes the significance of recognizing and appreciating individual efforts, irrespective of political differences.
The event is set to be a momentous occasion, bringing together leaders from across the political spectrum for a celebration of leadership and patriotism. The presence of PM Modi, Sharad Pawar, and Ajit Pawar on the same platform will undoubtedly create a significant impact in Maharashtra’s political landscape.
