To address the situation, the Indian Naval diving team has been conducting desilting work at the Yamuna Barrage in ITO. However, the continuous rainfall and the release of water from the Hathni Kund barrage in Haryana have caused parts of Delhi to experience waterlogging and flooding.
The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted further rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Delhi over the next 4-5 days.
