PM Modi assures support to families of Odisha train mishap victims

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the site of a train accident in Odisha and reviewed the ongoing rescue and relief efforts. The accident had resulted in the death of 288 passengers and injury of many others. The prime minister showed support for the families of passengers who lost their lives in the accident and promised to provide all possible medical aid for the injured. Modi also commended the efforts of those involved in the rescue operations, including local authorities, disaster relief forces, and railways officials. He emphasized the need for a whole of government approach to handle the situation. Railways officials are working on restoring rail tracks and investigating the accident to take appropriate action against those responsible. Local citizens also helped by donating blood to assist the injured in hospitals.
