PETRONAS, Malaysia’s national oil and gas company, has revealed the selection of 20 start-ups from across the Asia Pacific to participate in the third edition of its technology accelerator program, PETRONAS FutureTech 3.0. The program is co-organised with Singapore-based innovation, venture, and start-up enabler, StartupX, and the 20 selected participants come from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India and Australia. As well as the selected 20, a further five start-ups from PETRONAS’ internal innovation program, PETRONAS Innovation Garage and SEEd.Lab, will also be joining the FutureTech 3.0 cohort. The 16-week program will start with industry immersion week, hosted in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, focusing on experiential learning and physical site visits. The startups will gain exposure to an international audience for their solutions and offerings at Energy Asia 2023, where they can showcase their work. The program has already welcomed seven new corporate partners and ecosystem partners, including Cradle, MRANTI, MDEC, MIGHT, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
