Patriots’ Starting Left Tackle Trent Brown Limited with Chest Injury, Questionable for Crucial Game vs. Saints
The New England Patriots have encountered a setback ahead of their crucial game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Starting left tackle Trent Brown has been listed as limited in Friday’s practice due to a chest injury, after fully participating in the previous two sessions. In some positive news, Reiff returned to practice this week after being on injured reserve, while Flowers and Davis also made their way back from the physically unable to perform list. All three players are eligible to play against the Saints but must first be added to the 53-man roster.
Unfortunately, the Patriots will have to make some roster moves as cornerback Christian Gonzalez and outside linebacker Matthew Judon are set to be placed on injured reserve. Both players suffered significant injuries in last week’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys, ruling them out for the upcoming game and potentially longer. Gonzalez is expected to miss the remainder of the season, while Judon will reportedly be sidelined for a minimum of two months following surgery.
