Paramount Expanding Production Capacity for Mwari Aircraft Amid Growing Global Demand
London, [Date] – In response to the rising global demand for its Mwari multimission aircraft, United Arab Emirates-based company Paramount is seeking additional production capacity. The Mwari aircraft, a distinct single-engine, twin-boom intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance platform, has already secured sales to Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and other undisclosed customers. With the aim of building production capacity closer to emerging markets, Paramount plans to utilize its portable production process, previously applied to armored vehicles and loitering munitions, to enable larger-scale production of the Mwari aircraft.
Ivor Ichikowitz, founder of Paramount, revealed the company’s intention to expand its production capacity at the Defense Security Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition held in London. We have sold every available slot for the next three years and now we are looking at where the next Mwari factory is going to be located, Ichikowitz stated. Paramount’s Global CEO, Steve Griessel, emphasized the significance of the Mwari aircraft’s portable production capabilities, presenting it as a sustainable security solution that reduces reliance on foreign powers.
While Mwari production is currently centered in South Africa, Ivor Ichikowitz expressed his personal mission to support the aerospace industry in the country. However, he underscored the company’s decision not to increase production there. According to Ichikowitz, the Mwari aircraft faces no real competition in the market, as it has been meticulously designed to be infinitely reconfigurable, enabling the seamless integration of new sensor payloads. There is no other platform in the world right now, not manned or unmanned, that can be a true find, fix, and finish solution in one aircraft at the same time, Ichikowitz remarked.
Paramount intends to commence weapons testing and certification for the Mwari aircraft in late 2023. However, the company has not yet disclosed details regarding weaponry. Ichikowitz emphasized the maturity of the platform, stating that it has proven its capabilities under harsh environments and has required minimal modification or design changes to meet operational requirements.
As Paramount seeks to meet the growing demand for the Mwari multimission aircraft, the company’s endeavors to expand its production capacity reflect the increasing prominence of this unique platform in the global market.
