American punk rock band Paramore has been forced to cancel the remaining shows of their tour as their lead singer, Hayley Williams, risks long-term damage to her health. Williams announced the news in an Instagram post, explaining that she had previously postponed four shows due to a lung infection. Despite hoping that a week off and a strict medicine routine would allow her body to heal, Williams realized that pushing through could have severe consequences. Consequently, the band has had to cancel shows in Portland and Salt Lake City. Apologizing to fans for the inconvenience, Williams expressed her gratitude for their support. Paramore is scheduled to perform at The New Yorker Festival on October 6 before continuing their tour in New Zealand. The band is set to visit Australia, Europe, the UK, and Ireland as part of their tour. Paramore, consisting of Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro, has enjoyed success with six albums, including their latest release This Is Why, which reached number one in the UK charts.
