Former Maharashtra minister and national secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Pankaja Munde, stated that though she belongs to the party, the party does not belong to her. The daughter of late senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde had maintained a low profile after her defeat in the 2019 assembly elections. Munde, who was a cabinet minister during Devendra Fadnavis’s tenure as the Maharashtra chief minister between 2014 and 2019, made these comments at an event. There have been speculations that Munde has been sidelined by the state BJP over the past few years.
