Israeli TV shows footage of stripped detainees in Gaza
Israeli TV footage has surfaced showing scores of Palestinian men stripped and blindfolded in Gaza under Israeli military custody. The videos, which have been widely circulated on social media, depict the detainees sitting on a Gaza street while Israeli soldiers monitor them. The precise location where the footage was recorded remains difficult to determine, but one clip suggests it was filmed by a member of the Israeli military. Among those detained is Diaa Al-Kahlout, a reporter for London-based news outlet Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, along with members of his family and other civilians. The Israeli military spokesperson, Daniel Hagari, referred to the detainees as terrorists surrendering, but did not provide further details on the videos. Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has called for the release of Al-Kahlout and other detainees, emphasizing the humiliation they endured during their arrest. In the aftermath of a deadly attack by Hamas in southern Israel, the Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza, resulting in significant destruction and casualties.
