An agreement was signed between the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), the Department of School Education (DSE), and NagaED, a digital education company, to train 10,000 teachers on disaster management through online mode. This initiative aims to support teachers in formulating their individual school safety plans and digitize the school safety policy to enhance its accessibility and compliance. NagaEd will design and develop the digital compliance module and provide technical support in rolling it out, as well as training teachers on how to use the platform. NSDMA will finance the course and act as the facilitator, while DSE will provide the list of teachers for training and enforce participation in certificate courses. The agreement was signed by commissioners and secretaries of DSE and NSDMA and the operations manager of NagaED in the presence of NSDMA and DSE officials.
