Oxfordshire Residents Can Book Spring Covid Vaccinations starting April 15, UK

Oxfordshire residents will be able to book their spring Covid-19 vaccinations from next week. The NHS national booking system will open for the vaccination appointments on April 15. Those eligible can book appointments for the following week. These include people aged 75 and over on June 30, people with a weakened immune system, and people who live in an older adult care home. The booking system gives people across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West the opportunity to organise their appointments. The vaccination programme will run until June 30, with appointments available at pharmacies and GP practices. From April 15, officials will also begin visiting older adult care homes and eligible housebound patients. Home visits can be arranged via GPs for those who get their care at home. Eligible people can make a booking on the NHS website, use the NHS App, or call 119 for free. Parents and carers are also able to book a Covid-19 vaccination for those under 16 on their behalf. Rachael Corser, chief nursing officer for Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board said: With Covid-19 still circulating, it’s important those at highest risk who are eligible for the spring vaccine get their jab to help top up their immunity. The NHS is also recommending those eligible to get the shingles vaccine, which includes all adults turning 65, those aged 70 to 79, and those aged 50 and over with a severely weakened immune system.
