More than 100 male and female pilgrims have benefited from a new electric wheelchair initiative implemented during this year’s Hajj season in the holy sites. The Motawifs of Arab Pilgrims Company introduced the initiative as an experimental program, aiming to assist elderly individuals. Trained delegates from the company’s general services department led the implementation.

This innovative initiative offers various services to pilgrims, including transportation for lost pilgrims and older people to their camps, transferring patients to hospitals, and facilitating the movement of the deceased from the holy sites when necessary. Dr. Jamal Ghoneim, Deputy Supervisor of the general services department, explained that the electric wheelchair initiative is not only convenient for all pilgrims, especially older individuals, but is also fast, time-saving, and eco-friendly. The wheelchairs can cover long distances for up to eight continuous hours.

Having proven successful during this Hajj season with ten wheelchairs, the company has plans to expand the initiative in the future. The goal is to operate a larger number of wheelchairs in the camps of Arab states’ pilgrims.

The introduction of electric wheelchairs into the Hajj pilgrimage is a remarkable step towards enhancing accessibility and inclusivity for all participants. The initiative not only caters to older individuals but also provides a practical solution for transporting lost pilgrims and facilitating medical assistance.

By deploying electric wheelchairs, the Motawifs of Arab Pilgrims Company demonstrates their commitment to ensuring the comfort and well-being of all pilgrims. The convenience, efficiency, and eco-friendliness of these wheelchairs make them an ideal solution for the unique challenges faced during the Hajj pilgrimage.

As the initiative expands in the coming years, more pilgrims will benefit from the availability of electric wheelchairs. This development will significantly improve the overall pilgrimage experience for elderly individuals and those requiring medical attention.

It is worth noting that the successful implementation of the electric wheelchair initiative is a testament to the Motawifs of Arab Pilgrims Company’s dedication to continuously improving the services provided during the Hajj pilgrimage. By investing in innovative solutions, they are setting a new standard for accessibility and convenience in holy sites.

The future of the Hajj pilgrimage looks promising, with the introduction of technology like electric wheelchairs to enhance the experience for all participants. The company’s commitment to expanding the initiative is a positive step towards ensuring that every pilgrim, regardless of their physical abilities or age, can fully engage in this significant religious event.

In conclusion, the electric wheelchair initiative introduced during this year’s Hajj season has benefitted over 100 pilgrims, providing convenience, efficiency, and accessibility to older individuals and those in need of assistance. As the initiative expands in the future, more pilgrims will benefit from this exceptional service. The Motawifs of Arab Pilgrims Company’s commitment to continuously improving the pilgrimage experience showcases their dedication to inclusivity and innovation.
