South African former Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius has been granted parole, 10 years after the tragic killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. The decision, effective from January 5th, marks a significant development in the high-profile case that captivated the world. Pistorius, known as the Blade Runner for his carbon-fibre prosthetic legs, rose to fame as a Paralympic champion before being convicted of murder.

I’m not convinced that Oscar has been rehabilitated. Rehabilitation requires someone to engage honestly with the full truth of his crime and the consequences thereof, she previously stated.
