Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) Chairman Dr. Satyajit Mohanty presented the Annual Report for the year 2022-23 to Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal. In the said year, the commission successfully completed all the recruitment commitments as notified in the recruitment calendar. A record-breaking number of 3718 candidates were recommended for appointment in the Group-A and Group-B services, boosting the commission’s confidence and enhancing its credentials among candidates. The report revealed that 1500 women, 389 SC, and 443 ST candidates were among the recommended candidates. For the upcoming year, the commission has announced more than 5000 vacancies in various government departments. The commission’s focus going forward will be on ensuring transparency in recruitment processes and faster publication of results. It plans on leveraging technology for maintaining the integrity of the system and adopts objective criteria in every step of the selection process.
OPSC is a government-run body responsible for conducting recruitments to the Group-A and Group-B services under the Odisha state government.
