The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced 23 vacant positions for Group-A Mining Officers under the Steel and Mines Department in a recent advertisement. Candidates must have a 2nd class degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized Indian University to qualify for the available positions. Aspiring candidates should be at least 21 years of age and no older than 38 by May 1, 2023. The pay scale for the positions is Rs 56,100/- in Level 12, as per ORSP Rules, 2017, along with any additional government-authorized Dearness and other Allowances.
There will be no examination fee for candidates in any category, and the selection process will include a written examination and a viva voce test. The exam comprises two papers with a total of 500 marks, and the maximum mark for the viva voce test is 50. The written examination will take place in either Cuttack or Bhubaneswar and will not be changed.
