It’s that time of year again when Oprah Winfrey shares her ‘Favorite Things’ list, and this year it’s all about products made in America. For the third year running, Winfrey is highlighting American-made goods on World News Tonight, urging people to support and create jobs in the United States by giving gifts from her curated list.

Winfrey expressed her love for products made in America, stating, Give a ‘Favorite Thing,’ made in America, and help support and create American jobs. She believes there’s nothing better than giving back this holiday season.

One of the featured products comes from the Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company, located on a 700-acre farm just outside San Francisco. Founded in 1959 by Bob Giacomini, the farm now produces artisan farmstead cheese with the help of his daughters, Jill, Lynn, and Diana. Employing 120 workers, Point Reyes presented Winfrey with their Celebration Collection, which includes a variety of cheeses such as Toma, TomaRashi, TomaProvence, TomaTruffle, Bay Blue, and Quinta. Completing the spread are pecan biscuits, raspberry jalapeño jam, and a wooden cheese knife. Winfrey’s personal favorite on the platter is the TomaTruffle cheese.

Another American-made product on Winfrey’s list is Dear Sundays, a nail care brand based in New York City. With a focus on wellness and community, the company employs 74 workers who can produce up to 1,000 bottles of non-toxic, salon-grade nail polish per day. Dear Sundays offers a Box of 3, which includes a set of three different nail polishes in various shades of red, purple, or nude. Founder and owner Amy Ling Lin emphasized that their nail polish is vegan, non-toxic, safe for pregnant women, and can also be used on children’s nails.

Dallas, Georgia is home to Kyri’s Kookies, an American-made product that made Winfrey’s ‘Favorite Things’ list. Dr. Kyri Mosley, who overcame a rare and aggressive form of cancer, transformed her passion for baking into a business. As a thank you to her medical team, Mosley baked cookies for them and received positive feedback. Encouraged by the response, she launched Kyri’s Kookies and now employs 20 workers who make 3,300 cookies daily, totaling over 1.2 million per year.

World News Tonight with David Muir will continue featuring American-made companies and their products, shedding light on the founders, creators, and workers who bring these items to the public.

As the holiday season approaches, Oprah Winfrey reminds us of the importance of supporting American jobs by opting for products made in America. Her ‘Favorite Things’ list showcases exceptional gifts while also making a meaningful impact on the economy. By choosing these meticulously curated products, individuals can join Winfrey’s mission of giving back.
