OpenAI’s Custom GPT Chatbots Revolutionize Challenging Tasks

OpenAI has recently launched custom GPT chatbots that cater to various challenging tasks, such as tech support, negotiation, and cooking. These chatbots are designed to assist users in specific areas where they require guidance. During OpenAI’s Dev Day event, the company announced that subscribers of ChatGPT would soon be able to create their own chatbots tailored to their specific needs. While that feature is not yet available, users can currently explore 16 pre-made chatbots to understand their functionality.

Among the list of GPT chatbots developed by OpenAI, a few are already familiar to ChatGPT users. For instance, there is a bot dedicated to DALL-E, which generates images based on textual descriptions, and another one called ChatGPT Classic, which is a standard chatbot utilizing the latest GPT-4 version. However, the remaining chatbots are designed for unique tasks, and they offer sample questions to help users get started.

Users can employ The Negotiator to role-play a salary negotiation or assist in negotiating the purchase of a car. The Laundry Buddy helps with laundry-related issues, such as washing a gray hoodie with white laundry in cold water or removing coffee stains. For those looking to try out new mocktail recipes, the Mocktail Mixologist chatbot provides assistance on crafting refreshing beverages like a virgin mojito or a mocktail with pineapple.

In addition to the suggested questions, users can also create their own queries to further challenge each chatbot. Testing the capabilities, I personally asked the Game Time chatbot to explain how to play bridge, posed a question to the Math Monitor about Pi, and sought assistance from genz 4 meme to define the term retcon. In all cases, the chatbot provided accurate and valuable responses. As with the standard version of ChatGPT, users can express satisfaction or make adjustments and receive a revised answer.

It’s worth noting that only ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise subscribers, who pay a monthly fee of $20, have access to these custom GPT chatbots. To try OpenAI’s pre-made chatbots, subscribers can visit the ChatGPT website, navigate to the bottom of the left pane, click their name, and then select MyGPTs. From there, they can choose the desired chatbot and submit their questions or requests.

OpenAI’s introduction of these custom GPT chatbots aims to enhance user experience and provide support in specific domains. With subscribers eagerly awaiting the ability to create their own chatbots, the future development of AI-driven conversation is ripe with potential for further innovation and assistance in a wide range of tasks.
