OpenAI Chooses to Stay Private to Make Unconventional Decisions for ChatGPT

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has announced that the artificial intelligence (AI) company has no plans to go public in the near future. He revealed that, as the technology developed, strange decisions would need to be made that public investors would not necessarily embrace. I like being non-conflicted and I think the chance that we have to make a very strange decision someday is non-trivial, he said. Altman has this week been on a tour of the Middle East, Europe and Asia during which he has been discussing AI governance with regulators and officials.
