OnePlus Nord 3 vs iQOO Neo 7 Pro: Full Specifications Compared

In the world of smartphones, finding the perfect device can sometimes feel like an overwhelming task. With so many options available, it can be challenging to determine which phone is right for you. This week, two brands that have caught the attention of consumers in the premium mid-range segment are OnePlus and iQOO. Their latest offerings, the OnePlus Nord 3 and the iQOO Neo 7 Pro, have created quite a buzz. Today, we will compare the specifications of these two devices to help you decide which one suits your needs.

Design and Display:
Both phones offer a glass back, but the iQOO Neo 7 Pro stands out by featuring a vegan leather textured back in its orange model. On the other hand, the OnePlus Nord 3 boasts a smooth and smudge-resistant textured matte back panel. It is worth noting that the OnePlus Nord 3 5G also comes with an IP54 splash resistance rating.

When it comes to the display, both phones feature a 120Hz AMOLED screen. However, the OnePlus Nord 3 has a slight advantage with a higher peak brightness. Additionally, the Nord 3 5G’s screen offers a higher resolution and a more adaptive refresh rate through its software algorithms.

Performance:
Under the hood, both devices pack a powerful chipset capable of running most games on maximum settings. However, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro takes the lead with its Snapdragon chip, which offers better CPU and GPU performance. iQOO has gone the extra mile by incorporating an independent display chip to enhance frame rates in games. As a result, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro delivers the best gaming experience in this segment. It’s worth noting that OnePlus provides more RAM in its top-end variant.

Camera:
In terms of the camera, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro and the OnePlus Nord 3 share many similarities. Both phones feature a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, a 2 MP macro unit, and a 16 MP selfie camera. Both devices also have the capability to capture 4K video at up to 60fps. While we haven’t had the chance to test out the sensor on the Neo 7 Pro, the OnePlus Nord 3 consistently delivers good results across various lighting conditions. Based on our past experiences, we lean towards the Nord 3 5G in terms of camera performance.

Battery and Software:
Both the iQOO Neo 7 Pro and OnePlus Nord 3 come with similarly sized batteries. However, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro takes the lead with faster charging support. Nevertheless, OnePlus has implemented the new Battery Health Engine on the Nord 3 5G, which improves the overall lifespan of the battery. According to OnePlus, the Nord 3’s battery retains 80 percent of its integrity after 1,600 charging cycles, which is twice the average. This means you can expect four years of smooth performance from the Nord 3.

When it comes to the software experience, OnePlus stands out with its refined and bloat-free OxygenOS, which offers a smooth and seamless user interface. In comparison, iQOO’s Funtouch OS may not be as polished. OnePlus also wins in terms of software support, promising three major Android OS upgrades and four security updates with the Nord 3 5G, compared to iQOO’s two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates.

Conclusion:
Both the iQOO Neo 7 Pro 5G and OnePlus Nord 3 5G offer excellent value for money in the premium mid-range segment. From their displays to battery capacities and camera specifications, both phones are evenly matched. While the vegan leather back panel of the Neo 7 Pro may be more appealing, OnePlus’ tried and tested approach makes the Nord 3 the more logical choice.

If we had to choose between the two, we would opt for the OnePlus Nord 3 5G for its versatility, especially in terms of battery life and software experience. OnePlus takes a more balanced approach to a mid-tier smartphone. On the other hand, if gaming is your top priority, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro 5G is undoubtedly the best choice in this segment.

Ultimately, the decision comes down to your personal preferences and priorities. Both phones offer a range of features and capabilities that cater to different needs. Consider your usage patterns and what matters most to you in a smartphone, and make an informed choice that aligns with your requirements.
