Odisha government has taken a significant step towards the welfare of its students by announcing the implementation of the ‘Mukhymantri Chhatra Chatri Paridhan Yojana’ program. Under this initiative, all government and aided schools in the state will provide uniforms to students in classes 9 and 10.
The students will now receive two pairs of uniforms, consisting of a t-shirt and a track pant. Additionally, they will also be provided with one pair of black shoes and two pairs of white socks. This move aims to ensure that students have access to comfortable and appropriate attire for their daily school activities.
The Directorate of Secondary Education has outlined a set of guidelines to govern the procurement and distribution of these uniforms. For schools with fewer than 100 students, two houses will be formed, and out of the four available t-shirt colors, any two can be chosen. On the other hand, schools with more than 100 students will have a total of four houses, each represented by t-shirts of different colors.
To maintain uniformity, each student will receive one t-shirt with branding, ensuring that all students representing their respective houses can be easily identified. The measurements for these clothing items will be taken into consideration to ensure a perfect fit for every student.
Timeliness is a key aspect of this initiative, and the government expects the procurement and distribution of uniforms to be completed by July 15, 2023. It is crucial to execute this process efficiently and without any delay, adhering to the stipulated timeline.
