Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has urged all wings of government to work together to achieve the objectives of transformation. Speaking during an orientation programme for new officers who joined various departments in the state government, Patnaik emphasized the need for transformative governance to honour the aspirations of millions of people in the state.
The Chief Minister highlighted infrastructure development, improved schools, enhanced healthcare, and investment attraction as some of the initiatives the government is driving towards its 2036 objective of making Odisha one of India’s top states.
Patnaik encouraged the new officers to embrace the 5T initiative of governance, which emphasizes the use of technology to reach people faster, work as a team with a focus on the timeline and maintain transparency in their work.
The dedication to education will help our children be ready for the future, the Chief Minister said, while noting that teachers and education officers have a critical role to play in driving quality education in the state.
Patnaik urged social security officers to prioritize serving the elderly, the infirm, and people with disabilities, adding that their welfare must be attended to without fail.
Finally, he urged Information and Public Relations officers to reach out to people with the right information on the state’s initiatives, using social media to target a larger, younger audience.
