Stay Strong Foundation Ensures Hospitalized Children Don’t Miss Out on Halloween Fun

San Antonio, Texas – Halloween is a time of excitement and joy for children around the world, but for some young patients who find themselves spending the holiday in the hospital, the festivities can feel out of reach. However, thanks to the tireless efforts of a nonprofit organization, these hospitalized pediatric patients in San Antonio will have the opportunity to embrace the Halloween spirit.

The Stay Strong Foundation, known for creating bright spots during dark times, is determined to bring smiles and happiness to these young patients. This year, they have taken it upon themselves to provide Halloween costumes to pediatric patients at University Hospital and organize a Halloween party specifically for those unable to partake in traditional trick-or-treating.

Destiny Moreno, the mother of a young cancer survivor, expressed her gratitude for organizations like the Stay Strong Foundation that have been there to support her family throughout their difficult journey. She acknowledged that during such challenging times, it’s easy to solely focus on the well-being of the child, but these gestures of kindness bring much-needed respite.

For cancer survivor Bryce Fox, dressing up in costumes and sharing laughter with fellow patients provided more than just a boost in morale. It served as a distraction from the tumor that haunted his pelvis, allowing him to momentarily forget about the hardships of his condition.

Debi Harper, the board president of the Stay Strong Foundation, understands the importance of celebrating Halloween firsthand. She was inspired by her son, who, on the eve of his own hospitalization, sought to bring joy to other isolated children by gathering costumes for them.

This year, the nonprofit aims to collect an impressive 400 Halloween costumes to ensure that these kids, despite their circumstances, can still experience the joy and innocence of childhood. Donations will be accepted until October 22nd, and those who wish to contribute can text costumes to 53555 or visit their website to make a donation.

The Stay Strong Foundation’s commitment to supporting hospitalized pediatric patients goes beyond just Halloween. Their continuous efforts to bring some normalcy and happiness into the lives of these children are truly commendable. Their initiatives serve as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, light and hope can be found.

Patients like Bryce Fox and their families are eternally grateful for the support they receive from organizations like the Stay Strong Foundation. It is these acts of kindness that make all the difference, providing resilience and strength during trying times.

As the Stay Strong Foundation moves forward with their mission, they serve as an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the power of compassion and generosity. Together, we can create a world where no child feels alone or forgotten, even in the face of challenging circumstances.
