A local court in Sasaram has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) of arrest against the SHO of Town police station for not complying with its order to either arrest or attach the property of an accused in a murder case lodged in 2009. The court observed that due to the apathetic attitude of the police administration, the direction of the Patna High Court for disposal of old cases on a priority basis has not been followed. The ADJ had to issue the NBW when the SHO did not submit his reply to the show-cause notice nor execution report of a seven-year-old property attachment warrant against the accused from Takiya area. The SDPO, Sasaram has also been directed to face disciplinary action.
