Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inspected the Vadodara-Mumbai section of the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, which connects Western India’s two major commercial centers to the capital, Delhi. Being built at a cost of approximately Rs 45,000 crore, the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway section is part of the historic phase of building India’s road infrastructure, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Project. With a length of 379 km, the expressway aims to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted flow of traffic and reduce travel time between Mumbai and Vadodara. This development will give a boost to the economic and social development of the surrounding regions. The expressway has been designed for a speed limit of 120 km/h, and necessary service roads and wayside amenities are being constructed to provide world-class facilities while generating employment opportunities.
