Nilakshi Saha Sinha, the current Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to Georgia, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed in an official statement. Saha Sinha will be residing in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
The former Soviet republic of Georgia, situated at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is known for its Black Sea beaches and settlements nestled in the Caucasus Mountains. Its capital, Tbilisi, boasts an eclectic architecture style and a maze of cobblestone alleys in the old town.
Saha Sinha was appointed as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Armenia earlier this year, and she will continue to hold this role while serving as India’s envoy to Georgia.
This news comes shortly after Pakistani authorities began evacuating low-lying coastal areas in Sindh due to an impending cyclone named Biparjoy.
Meanwhile, Indian External Affairs Minister, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, sent his greetings to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the people of Russia on Russia National Day 2023 through a Twitter post.
