Nigerian Arrested with Mephedrone Worth Over INR 1 Crore in Maharashtra, India News

A Nigerian man has been arrested by the anti-narcotics cell of the MBVV police for allegedly possessing more than Rs 1 crore worth of mephedrone in Thane district. The 35-year-old was reportedly found carrying 503 gm of the drug in the Mira Road area. Investigating officers have revealed that the accused hails from the Pragati Nagar area of Nallasopara and is believed to have been supplying drugs to various parts of Mumbai and its neighbouring regions. The man was recently released on bail in a similar case and some of his associates are also under scrutiny. An investigation is currently underway and the accused has been charged under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
