Nick Cave and Debbie Harry have joined forces once again to release a new single titled On The Other Side. The track is part of the highly anticipated fourth volume of The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project series, titled The Task Has Overwhelmed Us, which is set to be released soon. The talented duo effortlessly exchanges lines on this latest track, with Cave taking charge of the piano, Cypress Grove on guitar, Warren Ellis on synthesizers, and Guido Benigni on bass guitar.
Speaking about Pierce, Cave had nothing but admiration for the late musician and songwriter. He genuinely cared about other people… I loved him very much. And I think he was a great songwriter. He had a good heart… And, you know, it’s surprising how great his lyrics were, how original they were, he said in an interview with Gene Temesy.
In addition to the release of On The Other Side, a video clip has also been unveiled. This montage features photographs of Jeffrey Lee Pierce and The Gun Club taken by photographer David Arnoff during various shows in Los Angeles and West London between 1981 and 1992.
