Odell Beckham Jr., the star wide receiver of the Baltimore Ravens, is set to make his long-awaited return to the NFL after a 19-month hiatus. Following a major knee injury that sidelined him during the Super Bowl two seasons ago, Beckham feels like a rookie again as he prepares to step back onto the field.

The 30-year-old expressed his excitement, stating, The whole thing feels like a reset for me. There’s been a lot of deja vu moments that just kind of feels reminiscent of my rookie year. Beckham is eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to play football again and embrace a new chapter in his career.

Coach John Harbaugh has made it clear that there will be no limitations on Beckham’s playing time in his comeback game against the Houston Texans. The Ravens will be relying on Beckham’s talent and experience to strengthen their receiving group, especially with tight end Mark Andrews limited in practice due to an ankle injury.

Beckham’s reputation as one of the league’s most accomplished receivers precedes him. He achieved over 1,000 receiving yards in five of his first six NFL seasons with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns, earning accolades and captivating fans with his exceptional catches. However, his career was derailed by the knee injury that ended his 2020 season and led to his release from the Browns midway through the 2021 season.

After signing with the Los Angeles Rams, Beckham had a strong performance in the NFC title game, catching nine passes for 113 yards. Unfortunately, he suffered another knee injury in the Super Bowl, forcing him to leave the game early. Despite his absence, the Rams emerged victorious.

Beckham missed the entire 2022 season but found a new team in the Ravens during the offseason. Baltimore was in need of wide receiver reinforcements, and Beckham’s signing provided them with a significant boost. So far, he has shown promising signs of being healthy and ready for action.

The Ravens’ decision to bring in Todd Monken as the new offensive coordinator, draft receiver Zay Flowers in the first round, and the return of Lamar Jackson from a knee injury are all aimed at elevating the team’s performance. Beckham and Jackson now have the chance to showcase their partnership as they strive to achieve success on the field.

In other Ravens news, cornerback Marlon Humphrey is currently recovering from foot surgery and did not participate in practice. Apart from Humphrey and Andrews, the only other player listed on the injury report is tackle Ronnie Stanley, who was limited in practice due to ankle issues.

As Beckham prepares to make his return, the football world eagerly anticipates his performance and whether he can recapture his previous form. Excitement runs high as fans and teammates alike look forward to witnessing Beckham’s skills and passion for the game once again.
