Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway has announced that it will operate a one-way special train from Guwahati to Bengaluru to cater to the additional demand from passengers. The train will run for a single trip on June 18, 2023. According to NF Railway, the special train, numbered 05698, will leave Guwahati railway station at 11:10 p.m on June 18, 2023 (Sunday). It will stop at various stations before reaching SMVT Bengaluru at 3:30 p.m on June 21, 2023 (Wednesday).
The special train will have 18 carriages, including AC 3 tier, sleeper class, and second seating coaches. Passengers on the waitlist for other trains on this route are welcome to avail of the facility. The schedule and halt details for the train are available on the IRCTC website and are also being advertised in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway. It is advised that passengers verify the information before embarking on their journey.
With this announcement, the Railway Ministry has taken a significant step in accommodating the public’s increasing demand for train travel. The new service will encourage people to visit other cities all the while reinstating the rail network’s importance.
