Florida newlyweds killed in double homicide a week after wedding, report says
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Tragedy struck a newlywed couple in Florida as they were found dead in their home on Saturday morning, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported. The victims, a man and a woman, were allegedly shot at their residence on Summit Run Circle in West Palm Beach.
Authorities swiftly apprehended a person of interest identified as Sony Josaphat, who now faces charges of first-degree murder. Responding to the incident, a neighbor, Dicter Pineda, revealed that he initially believed the gunshots he heard were simply construction noises from nearby rooftops. It was only upon exiting his house later that he was met with the disturbing sight of police activity.
While the victims have not been officially named by law enforcement, a woman claiming to be the sister of the female victim disclosed that her sibling had recently tied the knot with the male victim on December 1. Although the identities of the couple were not provided, a wedding photo submitted to WPTV affirmed their nuptials.
Speaking to WPTV, the sister emotionally expressed, She has never been as happy as she was now. The shocking double homicide has left neighbors and members of the victims’ church community in a state of disbelief, labeling the incident as horrific.
